Harry Wilson late heroics secured Fulham a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Brentford in a London derby, extending their unbeaten streak and lifting them to ninth in the Premier League. Fulham dominated with 26 shots and relentless attacks, ultimately breaking Brentford’s defense in dramatic stoppage time.
Brentford’s Vitaly Janelt opened the scoring in style, firing a powerful shot from 25 yards out in the first half—a strike worthy of winning any game.
However, Fulham’s Harry Wilson turned the tide late on. Coming on with eight minutes left, Wilson executed an incredible flick with the outside of his boot, lifting the ball over Brentford’s keeper Mark Flekken to level the score. Then, deep into stoppage time, Wilson headed home the dramatic winner in the 97th minute.
Fulham looked strong throughout, pushing back against Brentford, who have built a reputation for fast starts this season. Winger Reiss Nelson, making his first Premier League start, had two rapid-fire attempts saved by Flekken. And Emile Smith Rowe also tested the Brentford keeper.
Brentford, struggling for possession, eventually broke through when Christian Norgaard set up Janelt just outside the box, allowing him to smash a low shot into the corner with their first effort on goal.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Fulham pressing Brentford back. Alex Iwobi, Kenny Tete, and Andreas Pereira all had attempts, but Brentford’s defense held until the final moments.
In a game of late drama, Wilson first equalized by looping the ball over Flekken from an Adama Traore cross. Then, with time ticking away, Antonee Robinson sent in a perfect cross. And Wilson’s header soared into the net, igniting celebrations across Craven Cottage.
Brentford, a team that has dropped more points from winning positions than any other this season, fell victim to the pattern once again, leaving empty-handed after another late heartbreak.

Fulham entered the match with an unbeaten record in their last five London derbies. But it seemed that streak might end until Harry Wilson’s late-game heroics changed the narrative.
Fulham were deserving of the victory, having dominated possession and taken 26 shots compared to Brentford’s five. Frustration grew in the stands as a determined Brentford defense appeared poised to secure a narrow, “smash-and-grab” win against the run of play.
Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira had created more chances than any other Premier League player this season, and though he left the field, the Cottagers intensified their attacking momentum afterward. Manager Marco Silva brought on Adama Traore, Wilson, and Rodrigo Muniz as Fulham chased an equalizer and ultimately, a win.
Relentless in their approach, Fulham continuously delivered crosses into the box, a strategy that paid off in the closing minutes. Wilson’s clinical finishes on two well-placed crosses secured the comeback win.
